REXYGEN OPC UA Server Licence

The REXYGEN OPC UA Server offers a sophisticated interface for industrial automation, enabling seamless communication between the REXYGEN runtime environment and various client applications. Utilizing the open, platform-independent opc.tcp protocol, it provides advanced functionalities like diagnostics, method calls, and comprehensive security features, making it suitable for soft real-time applications in HMIs and device interconnectivity. Designed for flexibility, the server does not need to reside on the same hardware as the REXYGEN runtime but should be closely integrated to minimize latency. This server makes the entire structure of a target algorithm accessible to clients, ensuring robust and reliable data exchange.

In version 3 of the REXYGEN system, extensive use of the OPC UA Server is subject to fees. The complexity is assessed according to the so-called tags. Please see the table at the end of the Licensing Policy for the number of free tags available in each REXYGEN version. Tags are counted as follows:

• Each utilized value counts as 1 tag.
• Each allocated array element is 1 tag. For example, an array allocated to 100 elements with dimensions of 3x4 counts as 100 tags. If such an array permanently has dimensions of 3×4, it is sufficient to allocate only 12 elements.

If you want to try the product within the free version, there is no need to purchase the free version. It is already included in all standard REXYGEN licenses. For more information, see the Licensing Policy.

If the number of tags exceeds the licence limit, this is visibly indicated, but the server continues to function. Purchasing the necessary licence removes this indication.

By selecting the 4K option, you will receive a total of 4,096 tags, while the Ultimate option offers an unlimited number of tags.
